The Struggle is Real

Working Families across Timber Country are calling for our lawmakers to put #workingfamiliesfirst because #thestruggleisreal. Working families need affordable rents, protection from unfair evictions, access to unemployment and healthcare, and protections on the job.

While we pay 18% of our income in taxes and just scrape by, some of the richest people in the world who live in our state pay only 2%. A modest wealth tax on their extraordinary wealth could help fund vital programs we need like rural childcare and expanded healthcare and unemployment. Lawmakers, put working families first!"
