Firelands call on lawmakers to tax the rich, prevent cuts, and support working families!

A wave of Firelands orange descended on Olympia today, where we joined hundreds of working people from across WA to say: No more cuts, tax the super-rich!

Governor Ferguson and state lawmakers are considering even more cuts to healthcare, schools, childcare, food benefits, and other essential public programs. That’s on top of the cuts from Trump’s Big Billionaire Bill this summer. If state lawmakers don’t make those at the top pay their share in taxes, the rest of us will suffer—we won’t be able to afford food for our kids, doctors visits, childcare, or prescriptions.

It doesn’t have to be this way. The wealthiest corporations and CEOs in human history live here in our state. We know there’s plenty to go around—so long as billionaires don’t steal it. It’s time to protect working families by taxing the super-rich.
