Thank you for supporting our work!

Firelands houses two non-profit corporations through our fiscal sponsors.

  • Firelands Workers United /Trabajadores Unidos is fiscally sponsored by the 501(c)(3) charitable organization Latino Community Fund of Washington and is home to our base-building, leadership development, education, research, and non-partisan civic engagement work. Donations are tax-deductible.

  • Firelands Workers Action /Acción de Trabajadores is fiscally sponsored by the 501(c)(4) social welfare organization Rural Peoples’ Voice and is home to policy advocacy, political endorsements, and electoral engagement. This is work through which working people in rural WA develop our political voice. Donations are not tax-deductible. We rely most heavily on the funding support and solidarity of individual donors to carry out this work.

Giving Options

  • 100% Action. If you do not need to deduct your donation in your taxes, we strongly encourage you to donate to Firelands Workers Action Acción de Trabajadores. Foundation grants almost always go to 501(c)(3) work and it is difficult to raise funds with the flexibility to do 501(c)(4) work.

  • 60% Action, 40% United. If you do need to deduct your donation in your taxes, we would ask that you consider splitting your gift, ideally with the larger portion going to Firelands Workers Action. However, we welcome any split that is feasible for you!

  • Any split of your choice or 100% United. Thank you!
